For more than 40 years, Laura Holton has been a resident of the Amanda community where she raised three sons. She has a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from Ohio University. She is currently employed at Fairfield County Job and Family Services as the deputy director of Community Services and Performance Initiatives. Her program responsibilities include administrative oversight of SNAP (food assistance), Medicaid, Ohio Works First (cash assistance), Child Care, and Transportation. Laura has worked in the social service arena of Fairfield County for more than 30 years. She initiated or participated in many community coalitions, such as Family, Adult and Children First Council; Older Adult Network; Housing Coalition; Reentry Coalition; and The Recovery Center Board. Laura has a strong understanding of the impact of addiction and mental health issues on the residents of our county.
