Supporting the Artistry of Change
October 20, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
About this Event
There are many effective trauma interventions available and emerging today. Our increased understanding of how trauma impacts our bodies, nervous systems, brains, relationships continues to deepen. What does it mean to be change agents and in service of healing to others? This workshop consists of three common themes or principles regarding the change process that are vital regardless of the specific interventions we use. Creating a supportive and safe container in which our clients are able to develop a process by which they change/heal themselves is the focus of this presentation.
Themes that will be explored:
- Adaptive or protective patterns that once served us, no longer serve us in the present — coming into compassionate relationship with our authentic selves to foster growth, aliveness, well-being, health (and developing resiliency)
- Cultivating the pregnant pause — holding the relational field and space for all possibilities
- Pressure to fix — allowing and nurturing what is in the now, staying present and attuned to support experience to shift
