Laura Coholich, LISW
Vice-chairperson
Laura Coholich, LISW, works at Peace Within Counseling in Pickerington. She earned a master’s degree in social work from The Ohio State University. Since she is a member of a third-generation Fairfield County family, she feels so blessed to have the opportunity to serve in Fairfield County. When she was approached to serve on the Fairfield County ADAMH Board in 2019, she viewed it as an opportunity to learn more about and give back to the community that is helping to shape her four children. “If you want to change the community you live in for the better,” she says, “you must be part of the change.” The ADAMH Board is on the frontlines of mental health in the community and making a positive difference, and she wanted to be a part of that. Laura enjoys the opportunity to learn from others on the Board and contribute to it in any way she can. Because of her occupation, she sees the importance of quality, accessible, and affordable mental health care in the community where she lives. She would not only love to help others become more aware of the services supported by the ADAMH Board but also help achieve accessible care for the masses by expanding services and supporting agencies, such as New Horizons Mental Health Services, with whom she was previously a board member, that already offer quality care in the community. Laura is a member of the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Committee.
